Friday had been a tiring and stressful day. That evening, Chris took Harriet (3 years 4 months old) to visit family for dinner while I stayed home to rest. They arrived home late and the transfer from car to bed was unfortunately unsuccessful – Harriet woke up and was very upset.
The first contractions I felt woke me from my slumber in the wee hours of a Friday morning, two days after baby’s “due” date. They seemed pretty relentless from the beginning.
Our little girl finally decided she was ready to make her entrance into our world on a Tuesday afternoon. After knowing about this pregnancy since week 3, we waited almost an entire 40 weeks to meet her!
