Home Birth Whānau Mornings

A great chance for parents in the community to connect and support each other in a safe and friendly environment. Enjoy great conversations, hot drinks and biscuits whilst our children play together. First time pregnant māmā and partners are also enthusiastically welcomed!

Natural Birth Series

Hosted on the first Wednesday of the month (unless advertised otherwise). We plan to keep most of these in the evening to make it easy for those who work, though there will occasionally be some during the day. Feel free to tune in live on Facebook if you can, it’s a great chance to have any questions answered. But you’re also welcome to ask questions later on and either the speaker or WHBA core group members will do our best to respond in comments. Video will be available on both our Facebook page and this website.

NBS is a great way to listen to positive birth stories that normalise natural birth and often home birth. It’s very handy to hear what worked or didn’t work for different families and you may learn something you can take with you into your own births or births you may attend. Sometimes it’s also nice to learn new information as it can change the way we think about/understand our own past births.

  • Currently on hold due to committee members being unable to coordinate this. If you’re keen to help out, let me know!
